Responding to 2 Notrump
If you play new MisIry, 2NT opening is NOT natural. However, should you play a natural 2NT system with, this is the system of rebids that I use.
A two notrump opening bid shows 20 to bad 22 hcp. Here we play a fairly vanilla response scheme.
2NT
>>3♣ = Modified Puppet stayman
------> 3 ♠ = exactly 4♠’s, less than 4♥’s
------> 3 ♥ = four or five ♥’s, may also have a four card spade
--------------> Over 3♥, 3♠ ask, rebid 3NT = 4♥'s, 4♣ = 5♥
--------------> 3NT responder has need for four or five spades
------> 3NT = a FIVE card spade suit (ALERT!!)
------> 3♦ = no four card or longer major
--------------> 3♥ = I have 5♠s (smolen like)
--------------> 3 ♠ = I have 5♥ s (smolen like)
--------------> 3NT = to play
2NT
>>3♦/3♥ = Jacoby transfer
>>3♠ = transfer to 3NT
--------------> 3NT (forced, after 3NT, 4NT by both players is nonforcing) --------------------> Pass (to play
--------------------> 4 ♣ minor suit smolen, 4+ clubs, longer Diamonds, slam try
--------------------> 4♦; minor suit smolen, 4+D, longer ♣ slam try
--------------------> 4 ♥ long suit slam try in clubs
--------------------> 4 ♠ long suit slam try in diamonds
--------------------> 4 NT quantative slam try with 4-4 in minors, opener passes or shows keycards (out of six)
>> 4♣ = major TWO suiter, 5-5 are better
>> 4♦ = GERBER, asking for aces
>> 4♥ = minor two suiter, equal legnth, 5-5 or better
>> 4♠ = club transfer, not invitatonal. Responder will be in control
>> 4NT = Quantitative, flat hand (not 4432)
>> 5♣ = Diamond transfer, not invitational. Responder will be in control
>> 5♦ = Baron, looking for trump fit on way to slam
-------> 5♥ = 4+♥
-------> 5♠ = 4+♠, less than 4♥
-------> 5NT No four card+ major
--------------------> 6 ♣ shows clubs
--------------------------> pass = I have 4 ♣
--------------------------> 6♦ = I have 4♦, not 4♣
--------------------------> I lack four in either minor
>> 5M looking for good trumps for slam
The other way we can get to 2NT is Multi two diamonds via, 2♦-2M-2NT. On this auction, responder will not have the major two suiters (due ot his 2M response). But to keep things simple, we will use the above scheme as it is still playable.
The just bid 3♣ most of the time. The other modifications to the system are than,
1m=1any=3NT shows balanced 20-21, without four card major, and so does 1M=1 any, 3NT. In traditional systems these jumps show long suit, but hey, we can't have that since we didn't open 2D (minor) or 2C (major). A fuzzy area is 1M-2C, where 3C will show this hand. And 1M-2D, where traditionally 3NT is weak, so we go with 5NT there.

What if you play New MisIry where 2NT is transfer to clubs weak, or two suiter with hearts and without clubs strong?
